Women Building Futures
How lucky are we that we have such an amazing resource for women right in our hometown of Edmonton? For those of you who aren’t familiar with Women Building Futures, they help prepare women for careers that are primarily male dominated. This includes everything from training, assessments, coaching, help with job searches and job retention. They even offer housing that can accommodate single moms and up to four kids! They want to empower women to become financially independent while working at a job that they love. They also put a strong emphasis on indigenous participation.
We can’t applaud this organization enough for what they’re accomplishing. Not only for women, but also for the trades and the working population as a whole.
You should definitely check out their website and share it with as many women as you can! The best way to make a change is to educate people on the solution.
